5* Iron Fist Legendary Crystal Pull

I recently pulled 5* Iron Fist from a Legendary Crystal in the Red Rift...going back and reviewing old posts I see he isn't getting much love. Is he really that bad? Is he worthy of any resources to rank? I'm typically doing the monthly quests, AQ, and Arenas. I'll be working on Act 4 100% and Act 5 as well.
