AW defense changed from the way it was set

Has anyone else noticed that their defense is different than what was set?
I have demoted everyone who was an officer, but it still seems to be happening.
I am hoping it's a known issue, and not multiple personalities on my part...

    Our bosses moved and “boss island” left empty!!! Unfortunately we are going to have to screenshot everything now.
