Is it me, or did the AI in wars get more annoying recently?

Namely, seems like parry mastery is an easy way to cheese through wars, as no matter how you approach, no matter what you do, if you try to attack with a basic while the opponent isn't stunned, you will be. It's usually not fight losing unless you eat a following special or something, but this happening time and time again in the same fight is a bit off-putting.
