Thing vs Power shield

So 2x in this monthly EQ I've brought thing + fantastic 4 and doom against the power shield node (blade and Ronin)
Against both of them he didn't gain his passive furies after parrying well at 20 rock stacks. (Normal would be 10 furies per parry well at max rock stacks).
I didn't record the fight and I double checked nodes. Nothing that would cause this
