Specials getting blocked agrresively !!

I've tried using a 4 hit combo and the AI is just so annoying and blocks it ! It's annoying during stuff like 5.2 power shield and it's lights out after a combo following it.. I would also like to point out that kabam has mentioned previously that regardless of the difficulty level specials should connect after a 5 hit combo ..anyone else ?
