Open a 5 Star now, or wait?!?

Hey guys,
So I have 15k in 5 star shards and I was thinking of opening up a new 5 star.

Question: How often do the special 5 star drawings come out? (example 5 Star KingPin drawing for 15k shards).
I wasn't too thrilled with getting a Kingpin, so I was going to wait until the next special one come out.

OR, do I just open the freaking thing now!

    I personally don't see the value in feature champs. I leave them to the whales. I say open the thing now.

    Every time there is a new champ released, there will be a Featured crystal for them, as well as a Featured crystal for a different champ that comes around every so often.
    How many 5* do you currently have? And is there anyone in the base crystal you want/need rather than try for a Featured? Future Featured are likely (but not definitely!) Blade, Hela, a new Thor, and maybe a new Hulk, so if those possibilities tickle your fancy, may want to wait.

    I only have 1 five star, but I still haven't ranked her up all the way yet, and I am still working on upgrading some of my 4 stars. I just don't get enough crystals to rand up a 5 star fast enough. That's why I was willing to spend another 5k on the special one, because It will take me forever to rank up. Otherwise I will just wind up with a couple 5 stars with only tier 3, and aren't stronger than my 4 stars.

    Is there a way to find out if there is a new character coming out in the next 3 weeks or so? My Alliance is going to start holding crystal, and not ranking up for about 3 weeks. So if something cool is coming up I may wait, otherwise I am going to open up now.

    Im wil advise you to oppen the basice 5 Stars Becasse 15k is alot for u. To get. And with only 1 5 Stars it wil not be esay so oppen the 10k insatns

    Oh, yeah, got here too late, but I would open every 10k crystal until you have 9-15 5* before you think about saving for a featured (and then only if you REALLY want it, and are willing to suffer crushing despair when you spend 15k shards on IP)

    What if you have 9 unduped 5* is it worth saving for feature then?

    I'm 0/3 on featured 5*. So I just opened 3 regular 5* crystals after maintenance and got HB (2nd dupe), NC, and Falcon.

    Now that they changed their mind and will add featureds to the regular crystal eventually, there's not really a reason to spend 15k if it's hard for you to get the shards.

    Open it if there is a hero you want in any of the crystals, featured or not.

    You should be fine opening it now, but if you are willing to wait a week you could go for Medusa who looks to be a solid damage champion with poison immunity.

    There are enough good pulls in the basics at this point that it's ok to open and still have good chances.

    Let everyone know what you pull.

    Edit: Congrats on the Spiderman! He's a hard hitter.
