iron fist has absolutely no utility, and his only actual ability is armor break, which isn't enough to make him useful or good for anything above act4. After that, they introduce these things called nodes, which give champs increased abilities. These nodes require specific counters, and iron fist doesn't counter anything

Iron fist is a great bursty champ for when you are just starting out. By the time you need better champs, chances are you will have them since progression for beginners is so much better these days. Like others have said, IF doesn’t offer much usefulness in tricky content, but that’s a long time from where you are, so for now, enjoy playing If where you can, and maybe take a look at a tier list video to get a general idea of how good someone is once you start getting 3 and 4 star characters.

I can see you are new to the game, iron fist is really nice if you are just starting, I used to really cherish my 2* iron fist and captain america when I got them also, but in time I realized they just don't fit the game's meta,with time you will understand what I mean, until then have fun with iron fist and with mcoc,you will really like the game

Iron Fist used to be pretty decent as a damage dealer. Before 12.0, his armor breaks could drive enemy armor far into Negative numbers and without diminishing returns, his crits would be devastating. He would even outpace the Willpower regen back when Willpower was 3x more potent and stacked based on the number of debuffs, not just the number of unique debuffs. With Iron Fist, the strategy was usually "stack armor breaks until you can launch an L2". You could usually end an arena match with 1 L2 taking the full health bar off the enemy.

Iron Fist is one of those Glass Cannon champs that was done dirty with diminishing returns and never really made a comeback. Hopefully he'll be on the list of champs to get overhauled moving forward.
