    I’ve always heard good opinions regarding the thing but personally I find him quite trash as he requires full synergies to do massive damage

    Without synergies he can still do respectable damage. But I have the feeling that the end-game players praise him also a lot for his large set of immunities, which make him very suitable in many scenarios. He has great utility, too.

    For shorter fights and without any synergies, he is out-damaged in the Science class by Red Hulk, Luke Cage and She-Hulk (I have all 3 of them R4 and I compare them to 6* Thing). In the longer fights, his damage does improve.
