Why do you have maintenance during prime game time instead of during the off-peak hours?

Every single online game I have played used the window between 4 am - 7 am PST for maintenance, so that they would not impact their customer base during prime game time.

Why don't you do the same?

Because timezones exist outside of America.

No matter what time we choose to do Maintenance, it will be in the middle of somebody's peak playing hours. Since we are on Pacific time, this is the time that was chosen, and we always make sure to give as much notice as possible.
