War nodes left up solution for next season

rwhackrwhack Posts: 1,051 ★★★
Nodes left up throws chaos to war standings. It’s also how things get manipulated end of season.

I suggest winner doesn’t get points for nodes left up but loser gets dinged a bit more for it.

Right now standings are more impacted by nodes left up than they should be. Nodes left up generally means you faced a weaker opponent and likely had a lower AW rating at start.

Just a thought.

There's already metrics for taking down Nodes and doing it efficiently.

Or. The alliances could try to take down the nodes. Nodes left up deserves to give points to the other ally imo since it shows the strength of their defence. Once the huge mismatches are mostly over it won’t happen all that often

No. You don’t get it. Nodes left up by opponent results in lots of points for the winner. Nodes left up at high tiers are a function of how weak your opponent is and little else. Didn’t expect you to know that.

I don’t think you’re been in platinum yet (not masters for sure) and do 2 BG wars correct?

Happens every season. How many seasons has your alliance spent in masters?

So, just because you think this has too much of an impact on alliances within the top 20 it should be removed across the board for everyone? Dismissing someone's opinions because you don't think they've fought in masters wars is so laughably arrogant. Also, with all ally ratings being halved this season and matchmaking now based entirely on AW rating any cupcakes at the top should fall out, making Lvernon correct that it should happen much less often going forward.

On to the substance of your comments - If people don't even attempt to kill your defenders, or do and can't get them down no matter how hard they try, that should be worth something more than just the lost attack bonuses. Absolutely says something about strength of defense.

It sounds like what you're really upset about is simply that some alliances at the very top end up facing much easier opponents than others. That's potentially something to fix (and hopefully the changes made for this season will do that over time), but removing bonus for defenders remaining seems a silly way to accomplish that given that it actually does say something legitimate about an ally's strength in that war.

    I seem upset LOL

The defenders left up has always been a not so bright way to award points.

More points for fewer deaths makes more sense. Defenders left up is a measure of how bad your opponent is.
