Sasquatch Encounters not registering towards objective

So this one might've gone under the radar as most folks I know have hit all the milestones for the sasquatch ambush objective, but I've fought him multiple times today and the fight hasn't counted towards it. Anyone else experiencing this?

**edit** I don't read good and did the quest wrong. As you were.

    the milestones go week by week. for ex. you need to defeat sasquatch 3 times in "WEEK 1" of expeditions. you can't skip ahead and do the last ones before completing the initial challenges
