HT takes thorns damage in AQ map6

Hi
In AQ MAP6 while fighting doctor octopus in thorns node human torch took thorns damage. As per HT description he deals energy damage instead physical during basic attacks.
My other ally mate also faced the same issue while fighting doc oc using HT

Anyone experienced this issue

Physical damage is the type of damage you get back.
Thorns will trigger against any contact attack

Torch has energy contact attacks, they still make contact and will take thorns as a result unless it’s like korg’s thorns that specifically states physical contact attacks

There are Energy attacks and Physical attacks as you've listed.

Additionally, there are contact and non-contact hits. At higher levels of this game, it'll be key to understanding what these mean and how they interact.

Korg's Rock-hard Thorns (sig ability) reacts to Physical hits, but also has the caveat of not triggering with Energy attacks. This means that champs like Magneto, Dr. Strange, and Dr. Doom who make physical contact but deal energy damage will not have any damage from their normal attacks when facing Korg.

Standard "thorns" nodes have no such caveat. If you make contact with Thorns, whether it's physical or energy attacks, you'll receive damage back.

There are several ways around standard thorns. Non-contact hits will obviously work. IMIW's repulsor attacks or Stealth Spidey's initial medium attacks are good examples of these. You can use Omega Red's Tentacle attacks, which make contact but bypass any reflected damage inherently. You could use a maxed out Namor, who reflects all incoming damage while attacking to the opponent. Or you can reduce ability accuracy to get the node to not trigger at all. In the original seasons of war, Thorns was a despised node due to the lack of counters in the game at the time. The best option at the time was OG Black Widow, who could reduce ability accuracy by 100%, so she'd see no damage from Thorns.

Actually it's stealthy's first and last light hits that are noncontact

OK.. This explains best.. The confusion was caused by HT did not take damage from korg.. Now it's clear.. Thanks!!
