Hulkbuster sp2 + heavy

Hey guys I've testing a lot this guy and I find almost impossible to connect the heavy after sp2.

The oponnent seems to react to fast and hits me every time.

Anyone else noticed this?

Exactly, it's like a random thing, sometimes they just stand up and hit you super fast.

Yea it did happen to me too. Sometimes while the first heavy connected the second one doesn't connect (yes when the opponent is in the corner and I'm standing very close to him).It happened in some matchups and in some it was connecting perfectly.

I’ve noticed champions interrupting him mid heavy unnervingly fast, only outside of rol though. A specific example would be against Howard the Duck in the Canadian difficulty of Northern Expeditions. I’ll have him heavy cornered trapped then after a few heavys he suddenly jolts up and hits me mid heavy which is something I’ve never seen before.

As far as immediately connecting his heavy after his sp2 I’ve noticed it only works against certain champions and not against others. I’m guessing it’s either suppose to be this way or it’s a situation where you should be able to do it against all champs or not all. His heavy and spacing definitely do some weird things...

I just did an rol run to test it out and the timings def different then when he first came off. For some champs it works but for example against rhino and vision they could attack u with a medium before u got off the heavy (and yes cornered each time). When he first came out I never had this issue and I think this is what gildenlow was talking about. Can someone from kabam let us know if this is a bug or if this new timing for hb is how they intended it to be? I have a 6 star and was going 2 rank him up to r2 but with this new timing issue he's not worth ranking up .

Been testing it around in Canadian difficulty of Northern Expeditions and haven't had any issues. Are you holding heavy before his sp2 animation ends then when it does letting it go asap? This has been working pretty consistently for me so far. It might be fixed, but I'll go test it later against the Howard in there to see if its changed.

I think that could be making a huge difference. In this vid the first sp2 to heavy looks the cleanest and fasted it can be done while the others look slower and a bit miss timed.

9 times out of 10 i can execute the heavy after sp2, but sometimes the opponent light attacks as i am charging the heavy. I think there should be a unstoppable on the first heavy, similar to aegon's, in order to not get combo'd into oblivion

There’s definitely a chance to get punished by certain characters on Hulkbuster’s first heavy. The distance at which you get pushed back from your opponent after the sp2 seems to vary depending upon the distance from which you dash in before hitting their block, and the characteristics of your opponent - for example, on female characters like storm, you will generally be pushed back farther, whereas for characters like rhino, you will generally be pushed back less. The weird thing here is that, even tho rhino and juggs are both XL, I usually have plenty of space after throwing the L2 against juggs, so there’s definitely some inconsistency there as well. If the distance between Hulkbuster and the opponent after the L2 is short, then they can dash straight in before he lands his first heavy. I have a six star that I took to r2 anyways because I run Nick Fury and Quake a lot, and those three evade charges are more than enough to cover a failed heavy cycle or two. However, I’d really like to see Kabam release an adjustment that makes landing the first heavy much more consistent, because if you don’t run Quake and Fury, going for the immediate heavy can be way too risky - especially in modes like AQ and AW.
