Why do some people still have extra gold?

The extra gold from yesterday was removed from my account when I logged on this morning, but my boyfriend still has it.

Is there a delay with taking away extra gold for some players?

Checked to see if new announcement was made, but can only find the one from yesterday saying it would be removed by the end of today. Curious to know if anyone else has updates on this.

    Probably depends on when you claimed it, if you claimed it after the sweeps it might still be there.

    I honestly don't think they have the technical knowledge to remove it from everyone.

    Some players claimed the gold after you taked it back from who already claimed it, and now those players still have it and are using it without problems
    Also, no one alliance treasury have been touched yet. Gold is an essential resource to play the game, needed to rank and for donations
    Let those player keep an insane amount of extra gold will unbalance all the game
    Please look into this
