Can't use Generic 2-3 or 3-4 2017 rank up gem from variant 5

I explored chapter one of variant 5. Got generic 2017 rank up gems. I can't use them as I already have rank up gems of same class. There is no option to select what gem I want to use. What should I do?

the generic is year specific and the class is not is why I would.

Exactly, generic is for 2017 champs. Mystic is not bound to any year.

Same issue here, can’t use the gem.

It’s been a month since and new patch and this isn’t working yet. Have anyone have the same issue. I basically have all classes r3-r4 available reserving for someone in the future. Now all the generic 2017 cannot be used... can some admin pick up this?
