I literally have no idea what I'm doing

So with my plans to attempt cav soon, I have decided to do something insane. Yes I, Qacob, am going to be grinding arena, for gold and units, not champions as I am going to be pretty casual about it.

There's just one teeny tiny issue... I am so clueless about arena you would not believe it.

What I already know is that you have to keep an "infinite streak" though I have no idea how and obviously I know there are different arenas though I don't know which is best for obtaining units. Everything else I have to figure out.

My questions are...

-Which is the best arena for me for units? I have:
3x r1 6*s
5x r4 5*s
7x r3 5*s
11x r5 4*s
3x r2 5*s
7x r4 4*s
20x r1 5*s
2x r3 4*s
5x r2 4*s
82x r1 4*s
I can rank up my 4*s if I need more r3/r2s

- how do I get an infinite streak?

- is there anything else I need to know?

Best arena would be the 4* basic, build up to around a 10 streak with low rank champs, then use 4-40/5-50 up to streak 15, that can be increased to 3-30 as well to 21, once you’re past 21 you can use max 3 stars 2-20 4 stars and above
