I just pulled a medusa I was wondering if she was good in aw defence and if she is which node I should put her on?
Only in low tier alliances where there aren't many skilled players or people without counters. Other than that, she's mystic food for any decent player.
The dupe is what makes a her a great defender in lower tiers.
If you don't have a lot of defender options, you should be focusing on your attackers still at this point to help your progression. You should have at least 11 good attackers first... 3 for AQ, 3 for AW, 5 for EQ and then you can start working on purely defense rankups if you can rotate your top 11 to cover most of your questing basis. If you focus on defense too early, you will limit your options to progress.
That said, she's also a great attacker, especially against robots or people who bleed, or on poison paths and she doesn't need the dupe to be part of your attack team so still with ranking up IMHO. Very useful against ultrons, warlocks and sentinels (darkhawk too if you avoid knocking him down too much).
Awaken ability gives her auto-block.. without it, she is ok but not solid.. if your in a lower tier AW. She might get some kills but in mid to higher alliance AW tier.. awaken is a must.

Interesting. When I started, I thought the AI could handle my champs better than me, so I took the awakened Juggernaut to rank 4 and he was MVP for many alliance wars.
It was many months later that I had better attackers. Poor old chap is still at rank 4.

I couldn't stop laughing at this. I took raggy Thor to r3 because I couldn't get another skill champ and he's still an eyesore on my roster after all this time. I wish rank-down tickets are still a thing
