Question about ranking 5 star champs. Looking to draw from veterans' experiences (Corvus vs. HT)

Greetings fellow summoners,
I am trying to make the wisest rank up choice with the resources I have available. Currently my only rank 5-5* champ is Hyperion. (I do have a rank 2-6* Hulkbuster though). My question boils down to the fact that I now have a rank 4 Corvus who is as of today ready to be taken to rank 5. The dilemma is that I would like to also consider taking my Human Torch to rank 4 as I do not have a reliable science champ with only my 6* rank 1 WW2 cap being higher than him. So.... "In your various experiences, do you find it more prudent to go for a variety of classes with your rank ups, or is Corvus one of those champions who would count as a Rank 5 no-brainer?

Rank 5 upgrades early on should be focussed on requirements to complete content.
Generally Corvus would be a no-brainer though because he completes so much.
