I think that at the current game state that should already be happening. People are opening decades of t4cc to get the few of a specific class they need for a rank up.
As for the already existing t4cc trade (3 for the class you don’t want)? I personally find it at least offensive.
Small quality of life changes at the game, would be pro moves by Kabam 😉

Uncollected gold crystals are a joke at 2400 minimum.

I'd be fine with 3 t4cc for a selector. The only good thing about the current trade in crystals is that they don't expire. Last time I used them I traded 3 mutant hoping for cosmic. Got a skill. Traded in 3 skill and got... a mutant lol. Essentially I just made 5 t4cc disappear.
