I was pretty bummed yesterday. Saved up 90k for the mystic/science crystal. Got these:
Only 1st time dupes were Diablo, Rulk, and YJ. Have Mephisto as a 6*, so theres that. I guess Longshot supposed to be kinda good or something? Back to hoarding shards, I guess. Just gonna focus on R5ing Warlock and CAIW for the time being.

Right, but I already had DV duped, Rulk doesnt really need his, and as good as LS may be, getting a 5* from R1 to R5 is rather daunting, and he is not what I need. Torch, Thing, Sym Supreme, Sorcerer Supreme, BWCV, Doom, Magik, MS, and Quake are the ones I really have need for.
I have such a lack of good Science and especially Mystics and I need the Utility of some of those champions over a burst damage dealer like Longshot. Have plenty of champions that do that better.
Well, thing is, unless I can or will R5 any given Champion, they are pretty much benched. And Rulk may get R'3'd at some point if I get a 2-3 science gem. DV been at R3 for awhile now. Haven't really considered him as an R5 option, though if I fail to pull one of the champions I listed above, he may well get that promotion. Longshot isn't getting R5'd anytime soon, if ever, so he won't be doing much for me at r1-3.
Don't get me wrong, it's all good. I have plenty of great champion. Got Warlock and Cap IW just about ready for R5, so I am not lacking in good champions by any stretch. Quite the opposite, really. But when you have so many good champions, it kinda becomes an all or nothing deal. I need such specific champions that anything else is just not worth the resources to bring them up esp if they are in that 2nd from top tier category. I usually already have a ranked up champion that does what they do only better, you know what I mean?
It's not nearly as bad as some of these other horror stories but I have been saving up and just today opened my first ever 6*........just to see iron patriot looking back at me also pulled 5* diablo in the same opening
