Strike counter node 46 tier 5 AW

hey guys I have a question that may be a bug with war which is why I tagged it under this category. I was fighting thing on node 46, strike counter-power rate, and after my first sp1 with blade the charges reset. Before I could get another sp1 off all of my charges were depleted and my power started to drain as t me suppression charges stacked. It was up to 60 something by the end of the fight and I couldn't gain any power but what was weird was that it drained my 3/4 sp1 bar. I didn't think this node was supposed to lower drain and if it is, how in hell are we supposed to get more than 1 special off on these noded minis?
