Assigned bgs

I like that they’ve added the feature of assigning bgs in aq and aw, and I’m sure that the long term, well organized alliances doesn’t have issues; however the rest of us are still dealing with headaches and stress. Why not lock the alliances down once they are assigned - someone not assigned could not join, or if someone gets kicked, because they joined and wasn’t assigned, the spot opens back up? The change really didn’t change anything. I’m really not trying to be negative about this, just not completely understanding.
