Red Guardian tips and thoughts?

Pulled a 5* Red Guardian recently and wondering how good he is and what his potential uses are. How much does his awakened ability help?

I've completed Act 6 but still need to 100% 6.2 and beyond, and have explored all variants but V1. Will RG be useful in that content?

Also any tips on best rotations for damage and utility would be great.

    I think his sig with high sig lvl (at least 160) is required for him to play functionally. It prevents him from losing shield charges while you parry. Otherwise you need to dex for every parry, which will make gameplay very cumbersome.
