Class specific masteries

Any reason why the mystic dispersal mastery is so strong and none of the other classes are even useful ? The entire class advantage wheel is sort of broken right now because of it. Has been lots of discussion about whether MD is good or bad for the game but what can't be argued is how landscape altering it is and how insignificant the other 5 class masteries are. Maybe some improvements could be made to the other classes to bring everyone close to a level playing field ?
