For those of you who need help fighting Weapon X

I noticed that a lot of people are having a rough time with Weapon X. He might seem annoying to fight at first, but he really isn't that bad if you break him down into 3 "phases".

1. The buildup phase:
This is when he starts building rage charges. Every time you hit him, he gets a charge. He also gets 10 charges from his sp1 and 5 charges from his sp2 (it's kind of hard to keep track of everything, so just assume he goes berserk after a special and back off to make sure he isn't unstoppable). This is also the phase he starts out in.

2. The berserk phase:
At 25 rage charges, he goes into berserk mode and becomes unstoppable for 4 sec. He can't be stunned and all of his attacks are unblockable. Don't worry, his charges will fall off over time (btw hitting him will still give him charges).

3. The chill phase:
When his rage charges are gone, he can't get any more charges for 20 sec (shorter if he's awakened), so this is the time to beat the s*** out of him before he goes into phase 1 again.

So basically, you can only parry him in phases 1 & 3. Dash back when he gets to phase 2 or else he'll combo you into oblivion when he goes unstoppable. Then, it's all about intercepting and baiting out his specials. He's really aggressive during phase 2, so you can safely backdraft intercept him for days (until phase 1 starts again). Oh, and he also regens a lot of the damage that you do to him, so it's going to be one heck of a long fight.

...And that's it! I hope this helped and may rng be in your favor so that you don't have to fight this madlad. This is based off of Seatin's guide, so check out his video if you need more help: https://youtube.com/watch?v=kVMwFuSonzk

Still haven't gotten one in this month's side quests. I've only gotten both red and white mags, and then an Emma once upon a time. Would actually like to get a weapon x just for practice sake.

What if you suck at intercepts

You can just avoid him when he’s berserk and wait for the charges to fall off.

Thanks that really helps I am indeed one of those people who faced him twice in legendary difficulty. First time I had a team revive and some level 2 revives. Also I have noticed doesn't his regen increase or decrease based on his power meter like how wolverine and x23 do? If so wouldn't it just be better to bait his Sp1 so he can't regen much... Just a thought!

Glad I could help! He actually passively regens a certain % of the damage you deal. It's not the same as og wolvie and doesn't scale with power.

Also, DoT effects will help you bring this man down. Bleed effects have 50% reduced potency, but all others are fair game. Poison in particular will help reduce his healing rate. But during the Berserk phase it's paramount to intercept him. As the OP mentioned, Weapon X is really agressive, so even if you're not used to intercepting, try it out! End your combo earlier on a Light attack, MLLL, dash back, dash back in (as long as he's under one bar of power), rinse and repeat. You might surprise yourself, his agressiveness makes it quite a tad easier.
