Mutant Island Treasure Hunt boss bugged

On the legendary difficulty, regardless of what path I take I am always getting Weapon X as the boss. I've tried around 10-15 runs and have gotten the same boss every time. I've taken screenshots from the past 5 runs to show this. I tried to contact Kabam support but they simply said that the boss encounters are random and refused to believe me. I'm unable to get any rewards because the boss encounter won't change and is always set to weapon X. Please advise/help!

    did you killed the Wolvie and got him again, or did you quit the quest before beating the boss? because the boss is random, but it won't change until you defeat it ^_^

    Defeat him first and it'll change.

    To change the boss you have to defeat them. But there's a chance you can get the same boss.
