I would use pre fight Torch for sentinel could melt him down faster. It’s a boring long fight as folks have said.

psssst, don't know if this is a bug or not but if you use torches' prefight ability on the sentinel boss, it'll last even after you die. So you basically get an permanent flame on for the whole fight, even if you revive torch.
