[Possible bug] Mysterio's SP1 effects don't work vs Apocalypse

I was fighting the Apocalypse final boss in the uncollected event quest. I used my 6* R1 Mysterio against him. However, whenever I used SP1 and took damage afterwards, namely by blocking his SP1 beam attack (with my SP1 buff still active) nothing happened. After the buff ended I received no regeneration and Apocalypse received no reflected damage. There is nothing in Apocalypse's ability description that would indicate this behaviour. Regeneration on other champions when fighting Apocalypse works normally. I've never encountered any situation where Mysterio's buff ending would produce neither of its intended effects. Is that interaction somehow intended?

Mysterio’s special 1 ability operates from direct hits taken, block damage does not trigger his heal nor reflect.
