Anybody seeing correct numbers in Defender Diversity?

They said that they were going to fix it so that defender diversity numbers would show from the beginning of war.
Ours seems to not be calculating correctly. (unless they used some of that new-fangled math).
In our case, we placed full complement of defenders, 150, 89 of which we only placed a single copy.
we had a total of 97 different champs represented, and based on last war, i really expected to see 97 as the diversity. or at least 89?
somehow the kabam answer is 39.
Not saying this isn't working as intended, but it isn't by any formula/computation that I can imagine.

@Kabam Miike , sorry if i missed, has the formula for calculating defender diversity ever been divulged? or at least an example given?
