Missing a key from treasure event

thinking back to when the event was shut down. Some members that unlocked a path saw the rewards reset but the path unlocked still. Some of us missed out on a key when the event shut down. Am I correct on thinking here? I remember when it was put back up someone mentioned they were one key ahead of everyone else because they made a run before it shut down...

    Basically. Some people did not get to collect that key for that day before the event was shut down. But those that did, did not lose the key or the unlocked path
