Anyone else having issues selecting modifiers when starting AQ???

No, but can you clarify what issue you are having?

Ignore this @Jaded. Looks like it was a visual bug.

But the issue was when I went to select a modifier the only option was “close” which made it look like the modifier wasn’t selected.
