Please clarify "Long Distance Relationship"

The description states that when close to the defender for 3 seconds, we gain a weakness debuff.

Can this be clarified in the text or can we get a timer to display how long we have before it procs, because, honestly, what qualifies as "close"? Is one step away still "close"? Are the 3 seconds cumulative or do they reset when you get "far away"?

I ask because the timing seems crazy inconsistent, which can really hurt when this node is paired with Cramping like in 6.3.5. I was on the left half of the screen and hit my opponent with CapIW's L2, which creates a ton of space, but when dashing in I'd have a weakness debuff on me almost immediately and I'd take damage from my first medium hit.

In my experience it functions like the description of “fight or flight” (which differs from how ldr is described).

I believe it functions according to something like this “every 3 seconds on a timer the attacker gains a weakness debuff. if the attacker is far away when the timer expires they instead lose a weakness debuff.”

I think “close” is striking distance, and “far” is out of striking distance. “Striking distance” is when the defender is close enough to you that you can hit them with a light attack.
