Who to use a 5* 4->5 skill gem on

I pulled a rank 5 skill gem from variant 5. I already have Nick Fury and Ægon at rank 5 and trying to decide how best to use this gem. I have a 5* unawakened Blade and 5* Sparky (rank 5) and Ghost rider (rank 3 but will rank 4 soon) to make the synergy team. Is it worth ranking him or should I wait for Hit Monkey or Stealth Suit Spidey?

I’m mostly working on Act 6 and Variant content.

I haven't found my R4 Blade at all useful in Act 6 or Variants. My Stealthy on the other hand has been extremely valuable in both areas and was taken to R5. I'd wait for a champ like Stealthy, Hit-Monkey, Killmonger, and some others. But hey, if you like and/or enjoy Blade, go ahead and rank him up.

Rank Blade Now and hope for an awakening gem later

I'm always very hesitant to advise people to "Wait for [Champion X]" because you may not pull that champ for months, or years.

So if you like using Blade and want to use him more, then by all means rank him up now.

If he's not going to help you out much in the short term then hold off just in case you do pull a "more worthy" champ.

agree with this. I don't like saying save for this champ if you have a good option. On top of that, the best options for the gem are already r5. However, if you don't use blade a lot or don't think you will, then don't do it.

I haven’t use blade much lately, with him being unawakened there is no healing. With Ghost Rider and Mephisto at rank 3 it as been hard to justify the spot for the villain/mystic danger sense. Yet I also wonder if his lack of use is he does’t add a lot over my other ranks fives which I tend to lean on (Sparky, Doom, Nick. Quake, Warlock, Thing, Hyperion, Sorcerer Supreme, Ægon, Cap IW, Dominio).
