Summoner Sigil Item Question

Since summoner sigil increases item capacity, I was wondering, what happens to the items once your summoner sigil expires? Lets say you have 10 t4cc of the same class, then your summoner sigil expires and the max is 8 per class, do they stay there or get moved to overflow?

they would stay at 10/8 in your example. I actually have some items like that right now from when when a free sigil was given out and I've never used them since
