Mags taking thorns damage from Korg?

Hey world! Is there any reason why mags would be taking thorns damage from korg I’m variant? Also, should he be able to shrug off the passive parry from white mags pre-right ability? Asking for a friend

Was it by using a special 1? The first hit is likely a physical attack, but I'm not too sure about it

Are you taking thorns damage with white or red mags? I took on a korg last week with red mags and I took no thorns damage.
