Will an unawakened colossus help me to fight my way through 6.3.1 and onwards?

Hello all,

Like the title says, is it a wise decision to rank 5 my unawakened colossus? I am currently at 6.3.1
(I have a fully maxed out Omega Red for synergy purposes).

I hope to get the mutant awakening gem tonight or tomorrow from the calendar, but if not, still worth to rank 5 this guy?

Also, are there any champs which are critical to have for act 6 completion?

Yes

If you have some counters against the bosses should be fine, don't really need someone especific for completion
