Map 7 question related to two part damage on an SP3

I’m doing Line 1 (What’s yours is mine). I let off two SP3s. One with Hype and One with Guilly 2099 the first hit from each of their SP3s did solid damage. The second hits did nothing at all. Both defenders (Psylocke and Falcon) dropped to 5% or less health apiece. The second hit would’ve been more than sufficient to get the KO. Is there an element to a node that I’m not understanding? Thanks in advance for the help.

In my experience the way damage is reported for special 3s is why you see this.

When damage is modified below what it would normally do (like on wyim) the game reports the reduced damage on the first hit/report instead of divvying it up between all reports/hits.

I’m gonna have to take that L then. I put my phone down after seeing the first hit deal enough damage, thinking that I had won. I’ll make it a point not to do that again.
