Magneto is being evaded by Metal Champs

Just ran 6.4.6 mesmerize path. The metal defenders were able to evade Magneto.
Is this a bug or is the node supposed to override that ability. I did not run this map before the update, but in prior maps it would say evade failed.

He doesn’t stop evade, he stops autoblock and miss, he reduces ability accuracy but not by 100% so he’s not a full evade counter

I understand that you are saying that an evade is different from a miss.
But I used him on the spry and falter paths earlier and it would say evade miss. I never got an evade miss message on this path.
So either it is bugged or this node is supposed to work differently. Maybe because this one is passive and the others are considered active? It would be nice if Kabam documented these things so we would know.

or a third option, you got extremely lucky the other time. Since it has 70% aar they only had a 30% chance. It is also possible they evaded some and you did not remember.

That is possible with the spry, but not with the falter. I have video of a couple of falter fights so I checked. I usually don't record but a couple of guys in the alliance asked me to records those. It is interesting because the falter never gets removed once its on.

falter is a miss, he cannot miss. you stated evade is working, not that you are missing with falter.
