Arena grinding

I'm thinking of doing the PlatinumPool arena for one piece, but idk how hard it is to get the cutoffs. If I'm on at most times my champs refresh and hold a 3x thing for the most part, do I have a chance? What do people do to score high? Also do cutoffs get announced before or after the arena?
