Edit: and don’t get me started on the fact you call him a mutant Corvus when he has a terrible crit rate. You want a mutant that crits a bunch, look no farther than Domino.

Comparing the most rng reliant champ out there to the least, nice mutant Corvus 😂

But still, Colossus is no where near a “mutant Corvus”
Same memed years, eons!!! “Send a Colossus his way!” Cool, new, epic time. Big armor entire never punishment, potent huge Sp2 entire stun lock. No Colossus. Man of Steel nobody. True Man of Steel! So dot not. Most entire juicy Man of Steel. Poison sp2 even chunkier. Fathom immense Man of Steel powerhouse. Best entire, must nightmares. Proxima just wouldn’t go down!!!! God. True Man of Steel. Heir to the throne!

Quake and Ghost can counter more things than Colossus, but require high skill and a singular playstyle. Colossus doesn't really require any practice or playstyle to attain his greatness. So Quake/Ghost can obtain higher highs, but with Colossus it is easier to access the highs. Do you enjoy holding your right thumb down and swiping left all the time? Do you enjoy swiping left once, swiping right once, and repeating? Colossus on the other hand, allows for more flexibility - you can parry-heavy, you can five hit combos, you can use whichever specials you want (Quake uses no specials; Ghost really only wants SP2). There may be a ramp up to the damage each fight, but really, it comes within the flow of the game.
I will say that Colossus doesn't need his synergies, he is still amazing without them. I've done content both with and without Omega Red as synergy partner, and don't really notice any real deficit when I don't have Omega Red on the team. Colossus still hits hard with or without OR. So I don't agree with those who discount Colossus as someone who needs synergies to be godly.
I can't speak to suicides as I don't use them, but I will state that you shouldn't penalize a champion for your choosing to have Suicide masteries. It can be a plus, but it shouldn't subtract against champions that aren't suicide friendly. Its like saying Sparky is inferior to Storm because she is Mutant boost item friendly.
Colossus is probably my favourite Mutant but I wouldn’t go that far. Admittedly I’m exploring 6.2 so I don’t have much space for the full synergy team to make him stupid. I’m looking forward to pulling Professor X for him though
he doesnt need a full synergy team from my experience. i typically only use him with omega and they both shred everything lol.
Yeah I know he’s still a beast on his own/with OR but to argue that he’s best in class/3rd in game he needs the full synergies.
If that’s the case then Cable should be in the conversation for top class mutant. Lots of arguments in a prior post that Cable needs Apocalypse to be any good well... Colossus needs Omega to be a god. Domino, Omega, AA, and Magneto are gods on their own without synergies and probably have more use than both Cable and Colossus so I don’t get why people were so against Cable being a god too. Cable was always a great champion from the start but all that was holding him back from becoming a god was damage and lack of immunities.
Got my legends title using colossus back in March, and was able to one shot act 6.3.6 CapIW boss with omega red as only syn on one of the quick take downs. He saves me loads of units in general and can do all of uncollected eq solo 90% of the time, without changing champs, unless there’s some massive physical resistance or bleed requirement.
So, is he better than quake or ghost? Probably in some content, but not everything. Him and ghost beat quake out in immunities, as long as you phase out in time with ghost. While quake can take on a lot of the tricky interactive nodes without interacting. It’s almost as if each champ has some benefit over another.
I prefer colossus because I like quick smash and grab champs, but enjoy ghost or quake when I can’t just go smashy smash. Side note, Prof X is insane when you give him a mutant power boost. Basically gain 100 charges, sp3, power lock opponent, due to using special with 100 charges, then sp2 over and over until they are dead. Very fun and different fight style than most champs.
Wait how'd you beat the 6.3.6 Cap IW boss with Colossus @Brack1984 ? I have a 5/65 Colossus and Omega and typically run them together but isn't Colossus's crit rate too low for that fight because of surging vengeance? How did you do it? Did you use any specific boosts or masteries? My only options for exploring 6.3.6 and specifically the Cap IW boss are a 4/55 Stark Spidey (Might awaken him) or a 5/65 Colossus with the Omega synergy.

I also have the Emma Frost synergy if needed but that would be 3 slots on the team and I probably can't afford that.

Got lucky with crits on special 2, but this is what I figured to do by the third fight. I’ll share the video for that one but it wasn’t a one shot. Very close. I just messed up with the destructive feed back at the end. I can’t find my one shot video, or not sure if I even recorded it, but yeah.
Anyway, I did have prof x for the extra special damage synergy, but he wasn’t an absolute must have, just makes the fight go much faster with luck. However, do make sure to have at least a 150% mutant power gain. I would say EMma would be awesome to have to get you to an sp2 faster. I wish I had her as a 5 or 6*. Good luck.
I just got around to seeing this. Thank you so much for this video and now I can see that he actually works. If I am going to use Colossus then I will bring Omega and maybe Emma as you said it is helpful to get more sp2s. I'll also boost up. I'm a bit worried about the glancing from Cap IW's abilities but I'll give it a go and if he doesn't work I'll just use Stark Spidey. Thanks again!

Awesome! Just remember, even I had a combo do 0 damage the whole way. Don’t panic and you’ll be able to bring him down in 1 to 3 goes.
