How come his rock shield doesn’t fuel human torch since its energy damage?

I haven't read his abilities, but I believe in the description it says PHYSICAL damage. Kind of like Quake's heavy charge. It is not energy damage

Mephisto is just energy damage. We don’t get incinerate debuffs from his aura.

@will-o-wisp but technically it is incinerated if you are immune to incinerate the aura cant effect you

Doesn’t say that energy attacks specifically give u a smolder yet they do so it makes sense to assume its energy damage not an energy damage attack that fuel him.

His abilities state that ON HIT energy damage gives him a smoulder charge. Since Terrax is not hitting Human Torch he doesnt generate smoulders. Elsewhere in his abilities it states that whenever he would be incinerated he gains a smoulder passive. Mephistos aura of incineration is an incinerate affect which is why it does generate smoulder.

The comment above summarizes it better.

Basically, aura of incineration deals incinerate damage. Being a passive incinerate, it gives smolders to Human Torch.

Terrax ability doesn't deal incinerate damage, and is not an attack. Is basically the same as limbo here. It just deals energy damage without being an attack
