If I collect gamma from every other source; do I need the arena milestone gamma?

I do the hardest difficulty of the side quest every time and am completing EQ on all difficulties to get all the gamma. Do I still need to get all the arena milestone gamma to get the 2k 6 star shards from the gamma spend solo event?

No the arena milestones barely give out any Gamma
On the other hand, the arena objective under Solo objectives will get you a lot of Gamma

No, you'll still have more than enough. The total you'll get is around 1,900,000. Reduce the 152,000 you'll get from the Arenas, you're still in good shape.
