Should I rank up 4* warlock or 5* guardian first?

So I pulled a 4* warlock a little bit ago when I was trying to get tech iso to max my 5* ghost. I then pulled a dupe of him a day later so my plan was to rank him up after I r5ed my ghost (I have now done that). But today I pulled a 5* guardian from the featured gamma crystal. I’ll post my tech roster below and I’m planning to rank both of them up at some point but who should I rank up first? I’m currently exploring act 5 and have already become cavalier so I’m not going to jump into more act 6 soon. I’ll probably do a few of the variants after I finish exploring act 5.

    Rank up 4* warlock
    While I do agree with Kill Grey, Warlock will be more useful in variants 2 and 3 than Guardian. And you can still use Guardian for synergies if you wish.

    Ideally, you want a 5* for that. You don't want to feel you've invested in a champion that hit the ceiling.
