Dear Kabam, why is spider-ham being added before Sandman, Lizard, etc?

Look, no hate for spider-ham, I think he is pretty cool and certainly interesting. But I just dont understand why champions like him (I'm looking at you hit monkey) are being added when the game is missing so many other iconic characters.

If you wanna add a spider verse character, why not lizard or sandman as mentioned in the title, or how about scorpion and shocker? It just seems wierd how we are missing all these characters and you want to add a literal pig lol.

So basically, please stop designing these wierd and less recognised characters until we have all of the iconic champions, and then as far as I'm concerned, you can go ham on these wacky creatures (pun intended). Also maybe stop with the reskins too, though that's a different matter for a different day.

I can certainly see where your coming from here. Personally I'd like for them to chill out on some of these new champs every month and focus more on igniting new life into OG champs with some serious redesigns/overhauls.

Where are guys from the MCU movies or FoX-Men movies like: Whiplash, Iron Monger, Batroc, Valkyrie, Sif, Zemo, Shocker, Klaw, Shuri, Skurge, Mantis, Malekith, Kurse, Toad, Pyro, Warpath, Banshee, Jubilee, Blob and Deathstrike? Where's Lizard? Where are some of the other big name characters from comics like Bullseye, Colleen Wing, Misty Knight, White Tiger, Polaris, Boomer, Shatterstar, Rictor, Scorpion, Wonder Man, Jessica Jones, Black Cat, Deathlok, Mockingbird, Captain Britain, Kraven, Avalanche, Firestar, Hellcat, Union Jack, Silver Sable, Moonstone, Songbird, Nighthawk, Doctor Spectrum and Zarda?

Just because the character is animal doesn't mean it's weird. Also I think you haven't seen the best spiderman film yet.
We need those characters you listed as well but spiderham is also a good addition to the game.

Late last year Kabam informed the player base that 2020 was the year for lesser known characters. It's that simple.

I’ve honesty never heard of spiderham (not a comic reader at all) and I rolled my eyes when I saw the leak. Just want we need - another Spider-Man (or ham?) character.

Yes, let's add literally every well known marvel character into the game at first, and not even mention more obscure characters at all.

What happens once all the famous ones are used up? You'd get Spider-Ham after Hit-Monkey after Moleman with nothing in between. Are you gonna ask for reskins of the famous characters? Lots of people pissed at that rn as well, so not a great idea...

I think this thread has been largely misunderstood. I think spiderham is cool and very fun and I am absolutely fine with him being added. I'm just simply saying that I think it's about time we get some of these classic and iconic characters that we are missing. No ham hate here.

Wait...what????! I get not wanting to read comics but how have you not watched Into the Spiderverse? It just got added to Netflix, I strongly suggest you watch it - it’s amazing.

It’s probably because they know these bigger characters will make bank. Why front load all your popular characters and kill off your major character revenue in a year or two?

Profits dipping? Release sandman and lizard in the same month. It’s just to prolong the game essentially. I mean, it took 5 years for Prof X and Apocalypse to arrive. In a way, the longer it takes, the more people are excited for them to arrive

How on earth could Kabam choose him above Spiderman 2099 or Spiderman Noir? Yes, and then we are not discussing original characters like the original Thunderbolts, Squadron Supreme, the Wrecking Crew, Spiderman villains, Brotherhood of Mutants, etc. I don't understand how you can be excited about this.

Wandervision was due to be released, this was going to tie in with that. Same as BWDO and Red Guardian with BW film.

We'll get them eventually, probably closer to the times of film or series releases. Also, remember Kabam do not own the rights to the characters. Marvel / Disney / Sony may not wish to release the characters into game yet, waiting for a future release. Lizard and Sandman, both being in the spiderverse should be under Sony - not sure who owns spiderham's rights - but if its also Sony, then I'm sure they're more likely to release those rights than 2 of the most well known villains - especially given the relationship breakdown earlier this year.

Sony has the film rights to spider verse characters but marvel owns these characters. Kabam can release any champ that they want irrespective of who has the film rights. As it's a marvel game they can release any marvel character.

I think its a combination of them saying this year would be for lesser, more obscure champions and spacing out the more popular ones to build hype. I get where you're coming from, and maybe with the return of the MCU, we can see some more "recognisable" champions.

I think Kabam is doing a fantastic job bringing very highly desirable champs like (Cosmic Ghost Rider, Prof X, etc) to not soo desirable champs like (spider ham, etc) to the contest.

If kabam bring all the iconic and strongest and fan favorite to the contest right away, there would be no continuity to the game, nothing else to look for in the future. That's possibly why Kabam is holding back with some of those fan favorite, iconic champs, so they could release them little by little. What i would like for Kabam though, is to release a list of champs they are coming out with for the next 6 months or so, or at least for the next 3 months. This would create lots of hype and enthusiasm among the community.
