Rank Up Decision

I currently have a generic five star awakening gem with around 23 science five star sig stones, 18 mystic, 15 tech and 23 cosmic. Should I use my gem on Cap and rank him up to rank 4, should I just awaken ghost and rank up Thing, or do something different entirely. I'm trying to finish act 5 and would like a stronger roster.

The gem is between ghost and CAIW. I would personally use it on ghost but if you don’t like playing ghost or are bad at her I’d put it in cap. You can always learn ghost and awaken her with a gem later. I’d rank up whoever you put the gem in.

Save the gem. Do variant 4 completion and 5.4 exploration and other stuff where you can get Awakening Gem crystals easily. Then pray the RNG gods for a science or tech gem. If you pull either awaken the other with generic and if you pull both, then it's all good. I would say hold on generic for now.

The trouble with using a gem on Cap is that he really needs max sig to get 100% chance to trigger his abilities which is what you want his awakening for.

Ghost you can get great value straight out of the blocks.

I'd awaken Ghost and wait to build up stones for Cap (and/or awaken him naturally)

Rank up and awaken Ghost

Sig stones are important for Cap, but you’ll get those stones anyway sooner or later. He is worth an awakening gem and sig stones are no reason not to use it on him. He’ll get to 200 anyway : )

Ghost is a great option to, just don’t have the pleasure of having access to her, only a 3* version!
