Who to rank? 6* Falcon or 5* Doom

In my account with limited available resources, I have enough where I could take my 6* Falcon to rank 2 or I could take my 5* Doom to rank 5 (neither are awakened). Falcon is now much improved and Doom is simply great...but I feel like the 6* to rank 2 has a higher ceiling than the 5* to rank 5. Am I off on this? Is Doom the better option because it will take me too long to get resources to get the 6* to that higher ceiling? All input is appreciated.

Unless you have a good Mystic 6* at least at R2 that can surpass Doom (who can?), then Doom.

Doom because:

1. He's got more damage and his utilities cover a wider range of champs than Falcon does
2. He'll consume less rank up materials

Doom, no brainer. Falcon even at rank 2 6* will be a sit back cause of the utility which is not there for day questing whereas a rank 5 doom will be a game changing move.
