What’s the optimal amount of points in deep wounds needed for Nick?

I’m assuming 5/5 but I wanted to know from the forums.

2/5 is good enough, I find.

Look each one more point is one more tick of the light ending bleed, so the more you have, the bigger dmg you do. On 5/65 Fury it is like 1200 more damage on rach light ending combo.

It around + 1,2k damage per point if the LMD is active.

When its destroyed it becomes like 3k damage per point in DW.

Thats 15k damage from a Mastery per combo. Pretty insane. Go 5/5

It's largely dependent on how much you want to use him; which might depend on the test of your roster, etc. But if you're planning to make Nick a main champion, go for 5 points.

The main benefit is to the bleed on his fourth Light Attack; which becomes insanely overpowered with max Deep Wounds.

I've only got Nick as a 4* at 5/50; but these numbers should all scale linearly as a 5 or 6-star, or with Fury effects.

With my 5/50, one MLLLL combo on WS inflicts:
1300 Physical damage (if no crits)
    + 545 Bleed damage
= 1845 damage, total (no Deep Wounds)

    Adding points to Deep Wounds:
    0 points: Total damage 1845
    1 point: Total damage 2105
    2 points: Total damage 2366
    3 points: Total damage 2627
    4 points: Total damage 2888
    5 points: Total damage 3148

You can roughly double all those numbers for a 5* at 5/65, of course.

So for any opponent that bleeds, maxing out Deep Wounds will increase Nick's damage from a single MLLLL combo by around 70% (a bit less, once critical hits are taken into account). Which is a pretty astonishing return on that investment!

My 5/65 does bleeds that are about 22k for single light ending bleeds in his second life.

I run MD and am going to start running suicides soon, won't have points to invest in Deep Wounds, but Nick definitely doesn't need it at all. Mine still hits like a freakin truck without it.

You can get stony cores from "classic" back issues quests.
