Gifting event question?

Hey forum community,

I was not active during last years gifting event so im not exactly sure how it works. I've researched it the best I can with Google/YouTube/forum search which has been helpful.
But my 2 questions I need clarification on are:
Are we able to gift things like cavalier crystals, units, 5* shards/crystals?
and..
Do we have to purchase items with units to gift them, or can we gift items from our inventory?

I would appreciate some help clearing this up. Id like to do something cool for my crew and if need units then guess I'll buy these cyber deals to gain extra stuff now instead of waiting. 😉

    1) Last year, we couldn't gift cav crystals, 5* shards and units. It could change this year though .

    2) You can't gift from stash

    1) You can only gift specific things from the gifting tab, like gifting crystals, energy refills, potions, revives.
    2) No, you cannot gift items that you have in your stash.

    Do you know if the points are calculated 1point for 1 unit spent on gifts or in some other way?

    Each item you gift has a particular no. Of points......GGCs has the highest i guess ..i dont remember which one had the highest points but every item has a fixed no. Of points ...it does not follow 1 unit=1 point

    @Pest_1 in general. The more useful items give less points per units, and the less useful items give more points with units.
    Last year for example. Duel tokens gave by far the best unit to point ratio, and gifting crystals the least.

    Duel Tokens were 10 points per unit
    and gifting crystals 6.5 points per unit.
    So to reach the 35k milestone you will need to spend 3.5k units with duel crystals. But your gifts will be useless. Or 5.3k units with greater gifting crystals, and they could really help someone.
    That is for solo event.

    I do have a picture of everything, but it belongs to someone else. So I do not feel comfortable sharing it here.
    You could google mcoc gifting event point breakdown. It should pop up.
