I ranked up for diversity, but now you penalize the decision?

@NastyEfnNate it’s more like changing he pi of a champ and not their stats. It’s not the same as a nerf

125 to 50 is not significant at all. Maximizing diversity is still what gets the most points. You need 25k higher rating than your opponent for each champ in diversity that don’t place. I see no change in how the next week of aws will be played versus this last series. They changed points and nodes but the scoring system will still have the same outcome of defender rating deciding a match that is 150 to 150 on diversity. @thanks4playing

Your logic for RDTs doesn’t make sense since those are for changes to the champions, stats, attributes, etc. not for content changes. Summoners should rank up new champions for new content.

    @Deadbyrd9

I'm uncertain on how significant these changes will be when we actually play, so I'm willing to take your word on it. But strictly from a mathematical standpoint, there is no denying that 125 (or 150) to 50 is a drastic reduction.

Concerning the premise behind RDTs, I don't agree with Kabam's distinction between direct changes to the champ and indirect changes to the environment/content. For example, let's say Kabam releases the next season of AQ, and every node on every map has a heal block debuff. Don't you think this change, even though not a single champ was directly changed, warrants some kind of compensation for those who invested in regen champs--whether you call this compensation RDTs or not? .

Adjusting Diversity points from 125 to 50 changes nothing in strategy.

In higher tiers, both alliances will still 100% the map, both alliances will still have fully diverse battlegroups (so all 150 diversity) -- so the Win will still go to whichever alliance still has the highest Defender Rating.

That is what we mean in that these recent Diversity Parade "War" changes change nothing in the overall scheme of things.

They intended for Diversity to be Ally-wide. There was an issue that caused it to be per BG. They said specifically that they were working on it, and would let us know when it was reverted back to Ally-wide.
As a result of feedback presented by the Players, they decided to keep it as per BG. This allows Allies to have multiple Champs spread out over BGs. Fact is, we were the ones who requested it and pointed it out. So, now you have more Champs Ranked. Not a bad thing.

He's a troll? What about the people who constantly start idiotic threads about the same exact topic like rank down tickets because they lack the intelligence to understand their own stupidity?

OP never mentioned rank down tix. He/She is talking about ranking up for diversity points which have now been reduced.

Thank you, I deliberately made no mention of compensation. I just feel like Kabam is tiptoeing around what the community actually wants while these point adjustments really change very little

Listen, Kabam makes lots of stupid mistakes and ignores basically everything posted in this forum. BUT AW is improving! Seriously, is there anything people WON'T complain about?

Please explain how AW is improving. Thansk.

Personally I never rank for prestige or for kabam's shady tactics. I rank whoever I find useful to me. I get pissed when they change those though (DS SW Thor).
I just put R4 4* for diversity. It's not like a R5 will prevent the enemy from getting 100% right?
That is the logic my alliance is using and so far we've been winning on diversity points alone lol.

Yeah, rank 5s just help with rating but just get to a comfortable spot where you win 50% and lose 50% and just rank whoever you like is how I’m playing

How dare you. Kabam Miike is a valua - whoops I mean GroundedWisdom is a valuable member of the MCOC community with measured logic and an unflappable nature, and it is an honor whenever he deigns to weigh in on a matter, not at all some snarky self-amused jackass targeting kids with low self esteem issues.

Better not update anybody for defense atm. Alliance wars are still not stable. Wait for the full n final version, then decide on defenders.

The Points were changed because it was intended to be a tiebreaker, and not as significant as it was. They're still in process. If people are having doubts, it might be best to wait until the final product is finished before Ranking.

They announced a change, then admitted it was bugged and would be fixed, then switched it to the bugged state permanently, they just can't give any straight answers. This part is inexcusable. If they said diversity was going to be alliance wide and were working to correct a bug, then on a whim changed their minds, they need to be held accountable for those who ranked according to their announcenent. They said they were doing it. Then they changed their minds and, but players are stuck with rankups based on misinformation.

Total BS in the kindest terms possible. I'm glad I only ranked up champs I planned on using, but still upset with the way this has played out. They screwed up and instead of owning up they cop out.

I think what bothers me the most is the lack of accountability on Kabam's part
