Should I wait to open my crystals?

I am coming back after taking a break starting 2016 and I have a good amount of crystals. I wonder, do the alliance events that reward you for crystal openings/dupes still appear often enough anymore for me to wait? Or should I just open them?

It depends on the crystals and what you need. I don’t open my questing crystals, gold crystals, all of my champion crystals except 5 and 6 star crystals. I’ll open those crystals when I need iso.
